EtherLinc Chip
EtherLinc chip is ideal for designs do not require to integrate SCI with
other functions in the same device. This low cost device is based on LincChip
technology provided by ISS. The SCI interface in EtherLinc is 8 bit wide. The backend side
of this chip provides a 64 bit bus interface.
The 64 bit bus allows upto three EtherLinc chips to connect to your
application. The routing support inside EtherLinc chip will route the traffic from one SCI
port to another SCI port transparently. Your glue logic will connect the 64 bit bus to the
processor/memory bus of your choice. We will even provide you with the design you need to
talk to this 64 bit bus for your glue logic.

The capability of having multiple EtherLinc chips have many advantages.
Your system can accommodate high availability, and improved concurrency by having more
bandwidth and connectivity.
The EtherLinc chip will drive low-cost readily available
cable-connectors of up to 30 meters long quite comfortably with on chip transceivers
without need for any external components.
